General
These terms and conditions (“Terms & Conditions”) govern your relationship with The Fairway Lounge Whanganui Limited trading as THE FAIRWAY LOUNGE. It is important that you read these Terms carefully.
These Terms & Conditions affect your legal rights. It is important that you read this agreement carefully before making a booking or purchase. By selecting “I agree to the Terms & Conditions”, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by them. If you are booking on behalf of others, you accept responsibility for ensuring everyone in your group complies with these terms.
In these Terms references to “us”, “our” and “ours” refers to The Fairway Lounge. References to “you”, “your” and “yours” refer to you as the customer of the Fairway Lounge.
General terms & conditions
The Fairway Lounge supplies recreational services including indoor golf simulation sessions, coaching and lessons, entertainment, food and beverages, seating areas, and use of simulator bays. All use of the facilities is subject to these Terms & Conditions, safety rules, and any instructions provided by staff. By purchasing or participating in any session, you accept these Terms & Conditions.
Participation statement
By participating, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and safety rules. You should be in good health to take part in physical activity. It is the responsibility of parents or guardians to ensure that children follow all safety requirements. Golfing is not recommended for guests with neck or back problems, heart conditions, or recent surgery. If you have any concerns, please speak with a staff member before participating.
Disclaimer
You acknowledge that golfing involves inherent risks and hazards, and that personal injury may occur. By participating, you accept all associated risks. The Fairway Lounge takes reasonable steps to provide a safe and enjoyable environment but accepts no responsibility for injuries resulting from participant negligence or failure to follow instructions.
Release
To the extent permitted by law, you agree that The Fairway Lounge, its employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising directly or indirectly from your participation. This includes any related or incidental activities and applies to all circumstances permitted by law.
General guidelines
Entry includes use of a simulator bay and session time as booked. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your session for check-in and briefing. Children aged 13 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Unaccompanied children will not be permitted to participate and will forfeit their booking. All bookings are subject to the booking, cancellation and refund policy. Failure to follow safety rules may result in cancellation of your session without refund.
House rules
Guests must check in before entering the simulator area. Clubs and footwear must be clean. No spikes are permitted. Only one person is permitted in the hitting area at a time. Clubs must only be used on designated hitting mats. Always check your surroundings before swinging. Shots must be directed toward the screen. Guests must be aware of their backswing and follow-through at all times. All staff instructions must be followed. Any accidents or incidents must be reported immediately. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to equipment or facilities. Long-drive drivers are not permitted.
Fees, charges and passes
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include GST. Prices may change without notice. Full payment is required prior to participation. Tickets, passes, memberships, and gift cards are non-refundable and may expire 12 months from the date of issue. They are valid only for the specified use and may not be resold or used for commercial purposes without written consent. The Fairway Lounge reserves the right to cancel bookings due to pricing errors or availability issues.
Booking, cancellation and refunds
All bookings are non-refundable. No refunds will be given for no-shows. Transaction fees are non-refundable.
Rescheduling
Bookings may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability. An administration fee of $5 per request may apply at The Fairway Lounge’s sole discretion. Requests made within 24 hours of the booking are not eligible for rescheduling.
Group bookings
Group and event bookings may be amended with 72 hours notice, subject to availability. No refunds apply for no-shows.
Age restrictions
Children aged 13 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. The supervising adult agrees to these Terms &
Conditions on behalf of the child.
Health and safety
You agree to at all times adhere to our health and safety procedures as advised by our staff and indicated in signage presented at the premises.
You acknowledge that you must be in good health to participate. You acknowledge that physical activity may aggravate pre-existing conditions. You agree to cover the cost of any medical treatment required and authorise The Fairway Lounge to arrange emergency assistance if necessary. You acknowledge that risks may arise from the actions of other guests. The Fairway Lounge is not responsible for behaviour outside of its control.
Right to refuse entry
The Fairway Lounge reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest who appears to be under the influence of drugs, fails to follow safety rules or staff instructions, behaves in a reckless, offensive, or unsafe manner, or is considered a risk to themselves, others, or staff.
Photography and marketing
By entering the venue, you consent to photography and video for security and promotional purposes. By providing your email, you consent to receiving marketing communications.
Alcohol service
Alcohol is supplied and consumed on the premises in accordance with our licence and the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, and is subject to our Host Responsibility Policy.
We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person at our discretion, including where a person appears intoxicated or is under the legal purchase age. Valid identification may be required at any time.
No alcohol will be served to minors. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol on the premises.
We do not permit the consumption of alcohol brought onto the premises unless explicitly authorised. Staff reserves the right to refuse entry, remove any person from the premises, or terminate services without refund where behaviour is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or in breach of these terms or our Host Responsibility Policy.
Patrons are responsible for their own conduct while on the premises and for any damage caused.
Final agreement
By completing a booking you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, and that you will follow all rules and staff instructions.
Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice.
